Terms of use

Who we are
RoseVP is operated by the sole proprietorship named on the Legal notice page.
Using RoseVP
By creating an account you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to create an account and buy an Event Pass.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at bonjour@rosevp.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
Your guests
Only add people you are actually inviting. By sending, you confirm that you know each guest personally or have their permission to contact them. Add guests under 14 only with a parent's or guardian's consent. Don't use RoseVP to send advertising, spam, or messages to people who aren't invited to your event.
Text messages
Program: RoseVP Event Updates. Guests opt in on their invitation's RSVP page. We then text them about that event: reply reminders, a save-the-date, important changes and a thank-you. Hosts cannot opt a guest in.
Your guests' permission: only the guest can opt in, by entering a mobile number on the RSVP form and checking the text-message box. That box is unchecked until the guest checks it. Hosts cannot check it for them. Don't add numbers from a list, a directory or someone else, or a number whose owner asked not to be texted. We may stop texting for an event if we get complaints.
How often: message frequency varies (about 1–5 per event). Texts are short, fixed messages; the note you write to guests always goes by email. We send texts between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the event's time zone.
Cost: texts are included in every Event Pass, and guests never pay RoseVP. Message and data rates may apply, depending on the guest's mobile plan.
Stop or help: guests can reply STOP (or ARRÊT) to stop all texts, START to get them again, and HELP (or AIDE) for help. Support: bonjour@rosevp.com.
Where: texts go only to mobile numbers in Canada and the United States. Guests without a Canadian or US mobile get their invitation by email.
Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle mobile numbers is explained in our Privacy policy.
Your content
You keep ownership of the text and photos you add. You give us permission to store and display them only to deliver your invitations. Upload only photos you have the right to share, and check that the people shown in them agree. Don't upload anything illegal or hateful.
Event Passes
Each event needs one Event Pass, priced by guest count and shown before you design. Prices are in US or Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes, and the total is shown before you pay. Event Passes are sold through Link, operated by Stripe, as merchant of record. Link's terms of sale apply to the payment. Resends, fixes, reminders and thank-you notes are included.
Text messages are included; see Text messages below.
Availability
We work hard to keep RoseVP running, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that every email or text will be delivered, since delivery depends on outside providers.
Suspension
We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put guests or the service at risk. We will explain why when we can.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Event Pass concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws, including Québec's Consumer Protection Act.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under any other law that can't be set aside by contract.
Changes
We'll email you at least 30 days before a change to these terms takes effect. The email will show the new clause, the clause it replaces and the date it takes effect. If the change increases your obligations or reduces ours, you can refuse it and close your account at no cost.
